The unification of Tesla and SpaceX has gained traction among Wall Street analysts, including an upgrade at CLSA.
Furthermore, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, endorsed the move during SpaceX’s Q3 2026 investor call on October 20, asserting that combining the two entities holds substantial merit as they navigate the superintelligence singularity.
“I don’t think we necessarily should assume that this merger is a certainty. I think it would be overstating it. Do I think it would be a good idea? Yes,” Musk said.
Bitcoin price performance on October 22
BTC price has gained bullish momentum over the last six months, fueled by institutional demand. Public companies collectively hold more than 1.3 million BTC, according to metrics from CoinGecko, with Tesla and SpaceX representing a relatively small but high-profile share of corporate Bitcoin holdings.

A completed merger would therefore consolidate two of the most closely watched corporate Bitcoin positions under a single company. However, the transaction remains exploratory, and neither special committee has agreed to terms.
