Trading expert sets date when Zcash (ZEC) will hit $50,000

Zcash (ZEC) could rally to $50,000 by early December 2028 as part of its ongoing bull cycle, according to a new technical analysis.
The forecast by TradingShot, shared in a TradingView post on September 17, comes as Zcash continues its remarkable 2026 rally.
TradingShot highlighted that Zcash has broken above its January 2018 peak on the weekly chart, completing what is known as an Adam and Eve pattern.
The formation is a bullish reversal and continuation pattern that consists of a sharp V-shaped bottom (Adam) followed by a broader rounded bottom (Eve), often signaling the start of a sustained uptrend.
The analyst also noted that ZEC has been using its 50-week moving average (MA)as support since September 2025, reinforcing the strength of the long-term trend.
According to the analysis, the pattern’s technical target aligns with the 2.0 Fibonacci extension level at $50,000.

The outlook suggests that if the current cycle follows the projected trajectory, Zcash could reach that level around early December 2028.
Such a move would establish a new all-time high and surpass the cryptocurrency’s previous record near $3,000, which was set during its first week of trading in 2016.
The bullish outlook comes after Zcash decisively broke above a key resistance zone that had capped price action for years. The breakout has been accompanied by strong momentum, with the weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) remaining in bullish territory.
Why ZEC has rallied in 2026
Several catalysts have contributed to Zcash’s explosive performance this year. One of the most significant developments was the launch of Grayscale’s spot Zcash ETF, which began trading on NYSE Arca in late August. The fund opened the door for institutional and traditional brokerage investors to gain exposure to ZEC through regulated markets, helping drive substantial inflows and sustained demand.
At the same time, the Zcash ecosystem is preparing for Network Upgrade 7 (NU7), which is expected to improve transaction efficiency by reducing block times from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. The proposal received overwhelming community support and is viewed as a key step toward enhancing network utility and long-term sustainability.
Growing demand for financial privacy has also strengthened the investment case for Zcash. Shielded transactions and private holdings have increased significantly throughout 2026, reducing liquid supply while boosting the network’s privacy-focused value proposition.
Institutional accumulation, positive sentiment from prominent crypto investors, and a series of short squeezes have further amplified the rally.
ZEC price analysis
By press time, ZEC was trading at $1,556, up more than 5% over the past 24 hours. On the weekly timeframe, the asset had gained over 35%, while its yearly return stood at approximately 3,000%.

In this context, a move to $50,000 would represent a gain of about 3,113% from current levels.
Based on Zcash’s current market capitalization of roughly $26 billion, such a price would imply a valuation of approximately $835 billion.
At that level, Zcash would rank among the largest cryptocurrencies in the market and would challenge the valuations historically associated with the industry’s leading digital assets.
